What features are you looking for? Access isn't really a "real" database,
but is a GREAT front-end tool. Why not look at Postgresql
(http://www.postgresql.org), mySQL, university Ingres, or similar
databases if you want a robust DB engine that can handle large databases
and safely provide genuine multiuser DB services?
If you're looking for the Access style user interface, then you might
want to consider simply running Access under WINE, or using ODBC to
connect an Access client to a Linux backend?
My personal favourite is Postgresql. I find it a good tool.
