Hey everybody..
this is somewhat last minute, and I am now humbled into admitting I am more of
a newbie then I like =), but I would appreciate it if some of you would be able to
help me out in any way with this little problem I have. (please don't say rtfm =) ..
I've just had some problems getting all this working beforehad .. and just want
something more of a direction this time
I'm moving my linux box to another side of campus, and thus have to change all
the net-configs along with the NIC. Is there a generic list of things I should be
doing to get everything back up and running. The new card is a 3com 3c503 bnc card..
redhat 5.
basically.. the questions I need answered are: what should I do _before_ I
take the old card out. what should i do to get the new card working (kernel
compilation right?).. and how should I get the networking part working.. like what
files should I be concerned with editing to get everything in tip top shape?
thanks in advance for any help!!
