No, I don't mind if you ask if I am a Unix novice. Though you have to
allow
me the same privalege.  ;)

That's odd. In my 16+ years of Unix experience I have never once heard
of
the "ls" command being referred to as a file. Though, of course it is.
It
is located in /usr/bin. I see from above that you have clarified what
you
meant to say originally, and it makes sense now.
