I've been real interested in gnome for quite a while, and it looks as if
it's getting to the "usably-stable" part now. How should I get started
(using redhat5)? Or do things still change drastically on an hourly basis?
;-)

I'm using kde right now, but really don't like it's inability to be
flexible, and would like to find some rpms that install most of the gnome
apps if I could.

Oh, I'm not sure how I could setup a script to download some files
automatically, and then do a rpm -Uvh on them (I'm not sure about the ftp
part really), how would a script to do this (say ftp.foo.net) work?

Thanks!
Chris
