One of the things that has killed Unix in the 14 years since divestiture is
lack of a Champion. Dell has a *really* bad taste in its mouth about any
form of Unix since its abortive debut into the field, and the attempt of its
fledgling Unix group to _be_ a champion. (Abortive, the bitter consultant
adds, since he recommended it to several clients and they got screwed),
not because Dell did a bad release--far from it; they bundled many of the
GNU utilities and components gratis--but because Michael decided to kill
his company's release for reasons unspecified, but rumored to be centered
around the expense of customer support for SVR4.

With that history, you just aren't going to find support from Dell for any
Unix or Unix variant OS.

Concomitantly, you aren't going to find marketing support for Dell from
this 20+ year consultant, either.

        So? What's your point?
