Hello.
As of yesterday, I'm having a hard time running my wm (AfterStep's
latest).
I did nothing to the system over the previous night, but now when I
boot, I have this situation:
1. Logging-in to RH 5.0 takes a long time
2. Attempting to run XF86's latest with AS causes X11 to crash & return
me to the commmand-line (but works under root!)
3. I can still use fvwm for some reason (as user)
4. So I ran fsck.ext2 as root and got all kinds of errors (maybe just
cause the filesystem was already mounted? (errors: node XX has zero
dtime, fix summary information, etc.)
5. Yesterday, I ran fvwm, then tried putting AS back in my .xinitrc and
it worked, but I couldn't repeat it today.
I'm a little confused. Why is my filesystem reporting errors all of a
sudden, and what makes fvwm run, but not AS?
TIA,
Jeff
