The kernel distributed with RH5.0 (and the upgrade to
2.0.32) appear to have a lot of nice support built in.

I have not had to recompile my kernel and have been
able to play some sound, mount win95 directories, mount
my CD ROM and ZIP drives, etc. In other words, I have
been quite happy.

Anyway ..

I am considering upgrading when 2.2.X comes out and
I think I will want to recompile the kernel to provide
auto-power down support and perhaps do a few other
tweaks.

My question is whether it is possible to tell what
options were used in making the original RH5.0 kernels?
Either from RPM spec files or by some other file
included with the source (like a header file or
something).

Thanks,

Dave
