I believe what you are looking for is 'setterm'. USAGE "setterm
-blank <time>". For example, 'setterm -blank 5' would blank the screen
after 5 minutes. Unfortunately, you have to do this after every reboot, as
far as I know... If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me, as the man page is
not very informative.
