This is a random question.  I've "inherited" a CD-Recordable drive (long
story), a Mitsumi 6x read 2x burn.  Linux recognizes it fine, but that is
not relative to my query. is/are there cd recordable software package/s for
linux that anyone is aware of? The drive can do ISO9600, and is not one of
those *nasty* "Designed for BillGates95" types, though the software I have
is for that particular OS.

Is Kernel 2.0.33 (or a later version) capable of supporting such a drive?
(hence = is there something obvious in the kernel code I have missed, and
therefore available software?)

Any help? Tips? Resources?
