I have learned that I need to run xdm so that I can invoke X as myself as
well as root. I looked throughtout my system and found the man page and the
directory. However, while the man page is great for reminding one of the
options, it does not say what needs to be done where to set up xdm.

Is there some information I have overlooked? I find nothing in the
"Official RH 5 Users Guide", "RH Linux Unleashed", or "Running Linux" on
xdm. So, I would like either a pointer to a tutorial for the set up and use
of xdm or some specific instructions from one (or more) of you who are
conversent with it.

TIA,

Rich
