hi the problem below has occurred more than twice. i am using rh9,on a home PC,and have different usernames(and pwd). as i login from graphical login screen into kde or gnome without selecting a session on the login screen,i.e. kde or gnome doen't turn up but lot of blank windows crop up.so i have to use ctrl+alt+backspace to end the xserver and come back to graphical login screen. it is only when i preselect a session type and then input user and pwd,does the kde or gnome session begin properly.this problem is not there when i login as root. please guide me. regards samkupar
