Hello all,

I am having a problem with NIS. I configured my server according to RH web site. The client configuration went OK. The only way that I can access the client remotely is via root. Once in that machine I can "su - username" and I can check files etc. Once I access as username in the client I can change my passwd with "yppasswd", I can access to the NIS-server, etc. My only problem is that I cannot access the client as username.

I noticed that when I run yptest everything is OK but appear a message that looks like:

Test 3: yp_match
WARNING: No such key in map (Map passwd.byname, key nobody)

I also notice that by accessing the server from the client, once I am username, I get the following error:

Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding.

I believe those two issues are uncorrelated. Anybody have any clue? Please help!!!

Cris
