To answer my own question, I just had to reinstall Mozilla and choose
the spell checker option during install. :)
Did you install by rpm's??? because I didn't find any option with rpm's.

I installed using the tar file and running the ./mozilla-installer.
Spell checker is only in the newer versions of 1.5.
