This is because by default, the kernel is on the package skip-list. You can configure the RHN Update Agent (up2date) to install kernel updates automatically. But normally you would tell the tool explicitly to install a new kernel when you run the tool manually. In the graphical user interface it's a checkbox, in the command-line tool it's option --force (or -f), e.g. "update -u -f kernel". - -- Michael, who doesn't reply to top posts and complete quotes anymore. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/cZ9s0iMVcrivHFQRAtWfAJ0WWatFs6sQsU7iw66pyuhc4QYqrgCfViKl lGn+tLXZgH5pt9TYXD7Rv1s= =bmSR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
