Short of invoking the ldap beast...can just unix pwd/account info be used? When my unix login creds are the same as my samba acct (and they are)...it would be nice to not have to maintain separate-but-equal pwd files (smbpasswd and /etc/password).
You're kind of implying two separate/different passwords.
