Hi folks
I've got a RH7.3+errata system set up using LPRNG with a print queue 'cp1900'
which works fine.
I now wish to print to the queue from an IBM RS6000 running AIX 4.2. However,
although what I've done seems fine, it won't print.
In smitty I've gone
Print Spooling ->
Add a Print Queue ->
remote ->
Standard processing ->
Name Of QUEUE to add = TEST
HOSTNME of remote server = donlin
Name of QUEUE on remote server = cp1900
TYPE of print spooler on remote server = BSD (tried System V)
However, if I try to print the request is accepted but the print doesn't
happen. If I then request a queue status I get:
$ lpr -PTEST C.USED.000019.I.ps
$ lpq -PTEST
Queue Dev Status Job Files User PP % Blks Cp
Rnk
------- ----- --------- --- ------------------ ---------- ---- -- ----- ---

TEST @donl UNKNOWN

I don't know if it's something I've missed on the AIX box, or if it's
something I need to do on the RH box to enable remote print requests.
Ideas anyone?
