Hello Nurullah, > i am planning on buying a new mother board but how can i find out if > it is going to cause me any problems or not?
Have a look at http://hardware.redhat.com/hcl/. Googling around might also render some info on the compatibility of the board. Searching for "Asus A7N266-VM AA linux" I quickly found this: I ran into some real trouble installing RH8.0 on my new ASUS A7N266- VM/LAN/AA motherboard. I thought I would share my solutions with the masses since this seemed to be a common occurance. (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/archive/5/2003/05/2/50444) It's a big pain for Linux. You need special drivers from nVidia for everything from networking to the on-board video. You can certainly get it to work, but you need more than a standard linux installation and kernel configuration.
