 Have a look at http://hardware.redhat.com/hcl/. Googling around might also 
render some info on the compatibility of the board.

 Searching for "Asus A7N266-VM AA linux" I quickly found this:

It's a big pain for Linux. You need special drivers from nVidia for 
everything from networking to the on-board video. You can certainly get it 
to work, but you need more than a standard linux installation and kernel 
configuration.
