Hey Jason,

     I'm not sure if this is what you meant.   But the vmlinuz on the
Redhat 9 cdrom is contained kernel-BOOT-2.4.20-8.i386.rpm.

# mount shrike-i386-disc1.iso /mnt/cdrom/ -oloop
# cd /mnt/cdrom/isolinux/
# sum    vmlinuz     /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-8BOOT
17237   836 vmlinuz
17237   836 /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-8BOOT
