My applet was claiming I needed both a new pine and a new kernel. I do my updates manually, so I downloaded the pine, but there was no new kernel. I freshened pine, and the RHN applet is now happy. I am guessing Redhat made a mistake on their end and backed off, but the applet will take some knocking around to notice the rescission.
