I have just downloaded php 4.3.3 (tar.bz2 file) and I want to build a rpm from it but when I issue rpm -ta php-4.3.3.tar.bz2 it complains about an incompatible architecture. Very very strange error.... Anyway I'm running RH9 on an Athlon XP with kernel 2.4.21 (not the default rh kernel but a custom build from sources ....ntfs support etc...).
