I doubt if anybody has actually done it yet, so no one knows for sure.
However, it is supposed to be a PII, only difference being no on-board
cache, so I can't imagine why it wouldn't run Linux.

However, since it has NO onboard cache it will be a DOG, and for that
reason I wouldn't go near one of the stupid things. It's the modern
equivalent of the 486SX, a marketing-driven attempt at reducing the
price of the hardware without regard to what it does to value or
performance. It's a way of selling a "modern" microprocessor at a
(slightly) lower price, to those who think they need the latest
technology even though in this case there are almost certainly cheaper
alternatives that will perform better. I would think that anything at
200Mhz orhigher that contains the on-board cache would outperform the
stupid thing. Study after study has shown that the most important factor
in CPU performance is cache size, the bigger the better.
