I really need help here. Today I telnet'd localhost (127.0.0.1) 25 to learn how to use smtp. So I sent myself a bogus message:
helo somewhere.com mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] data Hello. quit The message never got here, and now I'm getting: "Error while performing operation: Welcome response error: Operation now in progress" on Evolution and " (...) connecting to SMTP server smtp.ig.com.br failed. (...) " on Mozilla whenever I try to send anything. I sent myself the same message 2 days ago and it took 2 days to get here. So I tried again and this happened. I can't use Evolution, so I'm sending this from webmail. I rm'd /var/spool/mqueue/* (There were three queued messages there.) Here's the tail of val/log/maillog: (sorry I can't unwrap this) Aug 25 16:35:10 localhost sendmail[771]: starting daemon (8.12.8): [EMAIL PROTECTED]:00:00 Aug 25 16:35:10 localhost sm-msp-queue[780]: starting daemon (8.12.8): [EMAIL PROTECTED]:00:00 Aug 25 16:44:19 localhost sendmail[1301]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(heinloft): can not chdir(/var/spool/mqueue/): Permission denied Aug 25 17:07:37 localhost sendmail[1483]: h7PK7bPQ001483: localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1] did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA Thanks in advance, Herculano de Lima Einloft Neto _________________________________________________________ Voce quer um iGMail protegido contra vírus e spams?
