I would suggest forgoing Red Hat's tools altogether and using Shorewall (http://www.shorewall.net). It is not a firewall, but just a set of scripts that are ridiculously easy to customize and that, when activated, tell iptables what rules to create for you.

I found it incredibly easy to use, the website has sample configurations and explanations for most situations, the author answers questions at blinding speed on the mailing list, and it's flexible enough that I am now using it on _everything_ from my home system to my commercial webserver.

Get Shorewall; you'll be really, really happy you did.
