What version of RH9?  If you mean which kernel version, use "uname -r". 
If you're trying to determine what release (RH9, for example), "cat
/etc/redhat-release".

If you mean "current" as in having all available errata patches, just
run up2date.  It will tell you what updates are available for your
system.
