Try http://www.shorewall.net. This is similar to what I use at home. I have my desktop connected to the cable modem on the first nic and a second nic connected to a switch. Other PC's in the house connect to the switch. Shorewall configures iptables to do NAT and firewalling. I can even send you my shorewall configuration files to save you some time if you like.
