I would like to demo a 2.6 kernel for our LUG. I don't do this kind of thing often and was wondering if there were any new things I need to know about compiling a 2.6 kernel as opposed to a 2.4 kernel. Is it the same make config, make dep, make bzImage method? Or has it changed. Anyone have a good kernel reference for compiling 2.6?
It's pretty easy just be sure to compile in support for virtual consoles, and keyboards. Or grab RH's kernel rpms.
