I have a RH5 machine which contains a brand-new Mylex Flashpoint
PCI-SCSI card. It works just fine using the BusLogic drivers.
But my boss is being a scrooge about ordering cables for it, so
sometimes I have to switch in a different BusLogic card, also a PCI, and
this one also works, but when it's in the machine the network card
disappears. (the net card is a 3com 590.)
I tried putting the BusLogic card in my workstation, and it made my
DigiBoard multiport card disappear.
I suspect that this has something to do with the PCI subsystem, but I
don't know much about PCI. Can anybody give me a hint about what might
be going on? I suspect that I'm being vague about all of this but I'm
not sure which details to include.
