A. On an backed up system with an empty block device: # mkreiserfs /dev/hdaX where X represents the partition you are destroying. B. Now you should immediately be able to mount this # mount /dev/hdaX /mnt/my_new_reiser_fs C. You may update your /etc/fstab so that it is automatically remounted when you reboot.
