PCMCIA hard drive

I recently upgraded from 7.2 to 9.0, now I cannot access any hard drives using my Ez-Gig expansion card (PCMCIA). It worked fine in 7.2, just plug it in and mount the drive (it was seen as a SCSI device). In 9.0 (with all the latest updates per RHN), the whole laptop just locks up when I plug in the card.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get this working again?
