OK, I'm pulling my hair out over this one.

I installed RH 5.0 on my laptop...everything (including networking) is
working pretty well. This machine is a "testbed" so to speak before I
convert the big desktop machine over to Linux.

I had the default redhat desktop which was a bit Win95-like (ugh) and I
think it was a bunch of "pretty stuff" added to fvwm2 (Afterlevel?). In
any case it had a bunch of useful utilities installed as well. When I
upgraded my Xfree to 3.3.2 (which I will have to do on the big machine
because it has a Matrox Mill II card) I lost access to the Afterlevel
fvwm2 and got kicked back to plain fvwm2. And I cannot figure out how to
get back.

This is not a huge big deal since I am planning on using Afterstep
eventually, but since I am a newbie (obviously) I would really like to
know what happened and how to fix it.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated because the next step is a
re-install (ugh).

Thanks!

Jil
