I would like to know how I can set up e-mail on my Red Hat 5.0 system. Here are the following programs I want to use for mail delivery, transport, etc. sendmail fetchmail procmail I am connected by LAN to my POP3/SMTP server (which in fact, is a proxy to a dial-up Internet connection, but that is more or less seamless). I have a static IP address. Suppose the network settings are as follows: IP: 192.168.0.1 Hostname: client Domain name: exdomain Netmask: 255.255.255.0 POP3/SMTP Server: mailman.exdomain.com Username for POP3: myuser_mail.isp.com Password: mypassword I would like fetchmail to get the POP3 stuff, send it to procmail (no real filtering for now); procmail should send the mail to $HOME/mail. For sending, I would like to set localhost as the SMTP server, and have sendmail direct the mail to the proxy server above. Is this easily possible? _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
