Sure! Linux will give you a warning about the keyboard missing, but will
boot-up fine. The key to the missing mouse problem is to either change the
systems runlevel to 3 (no X) or if you want to run at runlevel 5 (XDMCP),
then be sure to disable X starting at the console. Also, on some
motherboards I had to go into the BIOS and disable the "Halt on Error"
setting so that the system would at least boot the kernel.
