Title: Message
Mangled man page output has been a problem in the last couple of RedHat releases, go to /etc/sysconfig and edit the i18n file so LANG="POSIX".  I cant remember whether you have to reload something for the change to take affect though, a reboot will definitely do it though.  That should fix your problem, let me know if that helps and good luck.

Subject: Man pages display is not proper in telnet window.

Hi everybody,

I am new member to this list.

I use to telnet from win2k machine to RedHat 7.3 box in my local network. Now when i try to look in some help using 'man', some of the characters are not showing up correctly on my terminal which i have set to VT100 in my telnet window. I don know what is the problem.

In my bash_profile i have set TERM=VT100 also. But nothing is working out for me. Please suggest me where is the actual problem.

Thanks in advance

Binay
