Here's one that's kinda Linux related....
Has anyone ever play with LCDs and Linux? I'd like to tinker with a small kernel, an LCD panel, a wireless NIC, speakers, and a decent hard drive to create a wireless jukebox. I've poked around on some LCD project sites, and it seems relatively simple, but I haven't found any that have "joysticks" or keypads to go with the small LCD (I'd like to put in a small keypad or up/down controls at least). Has anyone worked with LCDs/drivers before? Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Forget the keypad - it is MUCH easier to put in an IR receiver through the RS-232 port. A standard (Philips comes to mind) remote will then control it just fine.
