Thanks guys. Due to other problems, I updated my glibc. This, in addition, fixed my xmms segfault problem :) (and a similar oo.org segfault problem that I later found out about...)
Sorry for the false alarm; I had previously failed at a glibc update and didn't have much hope for this new attempt, that's why I was looking for other venues. Lesson learned: always get latest libs if weird things are happening... even though it's quite painful on dial-up :( Thanks, Justin Keyes --- fatih olcer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > *This message was transferred with a trial version of CommuniGate(tm) Pro* > - download the xmms source , a pacth *mpg123*.rpm (for RH9) from xmms.org. > - delete xmms executable > - /.configure > - make > - make install > - rpm -ivhU *mpg123* > - have fun :) > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Justin M.
