Has anyone interfaced a 9 track tape drive to a Linux system?

I have redhat 5.0 installed for a system that will not be doing any
networking. The system (and hopefully many to come...) is part of a
project to replace an old cpu with an emulator running under Linux. The
old system had 9 track tape drives.

I have an OverData tape controller that works fine under DOS, now I want
to get things working under Linux. The customer plans to backup files
on 9 track tape on the old system (it is all they have).

Does anyone know of *ANY* 9 track tape interfaces (nothing is sacred about
the current interface, it is just one that my customer had found)?

Once I get "compatible" interface, the rest is easy...:)
