I have seen in the past that certain network adapters don't
handle apm very well. Make sure apmd is turned off. My 2 cents anyway.

Subject: session hang up....

Hi...

I have a redhat RH8.0 box that i ssh into via putty. The problem I'm
having that's driving me crazy is that the session seems to time out
after a while of inactivity. This is a local connection, not going
through a fire wall. I initally thought of a Windos/Putty issue.
However, I also have another RH8.0 system that never times out when I
use the same Putty settings.....

As far as I can tell, both RH8.0 boxes are the same..... Any
comments/critcisms/possible suggestions would be greatly helpful....

Thanks

bruce
