File-system corruption? Hard-disk drive going bad? Unstable
hardware? Bad RAM-chips? Hacker activity?

This is kind of distressing. I tried this on two of my boxen, and *many* packages have check-sum errors. Everything is running beautifully. I don't think I have hard disk problems, or been hacked. Bad ram is possible, but with no visible problems? I'm not sure what to do.


Any thoughts?
