I am not quite sure what you meant since I've never used Opera.

If you mean to open a link in a tab in mozilla, yes, you can set it up in 
Edit->preference so that when you click a link, it opens a tab. For example, 
set so that when you click a link with the middle mouse button, it opens a 
tab.
