On the RedHat ftp site there are jdk rpms that you can use. I used the
one called
/pub/contrib/hurricane/i386/jdk-1.1.6sn-1.1glibc.i386.rpm . However, I
had to make a number of changes to the java executable. It was looking in
the wrong place for the libraries and classes. It is just a shell script
so it's not hard to fix.
