Hi:

Everytime I start X Windows my cursor disappears. Here's the scenerio:

1. Boot up my laptop. I'm running Red Hat Linux V4.2
2. Logon to the box.
3. Switch to another tty (e.g. Ctrl-Alt-F2)
4. Run `startx` from new tty.
5. Return to original tty.
6. Cursor is _gone_!!! No underscore, no box, no 'nothin'.

This make it kinda hard to edit files. :-)

Also, there seems to be a buffering problem. When I returned to the
original tty I type in a command (e.g. ls -al). Nothing happens. Switch
to second tty and back to original tty the output from the command is
there. The results of the command will never be put onto standard
output until you switch to another terminal and back.

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks,
Jon

P.S. If anyone has any ideas please CC me as well as the list. Thanks!
