Hi there - I wonder if anyone can help me overcome a problem. I installed RH 9.0 yesterday, and have a problem with outgoing mail - it queues up (like this!):
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# mailq /var/spool/mqueue (1 request) -----Q-ID----- --Size-- -----Q-Time----- ------------Sender/Recipient----------- h6PC8u2F031153 852 Fri Jul 25 13:08 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (host map: lookup (virgin.net): deferred) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Total requests: 1 .. and won't leave until it's flushed manually (/usr/sbin/sendmail -q as root). Last time I used Redhat (7.3 I think), it 'just worked' - mail would happily leave of its own accord without having to be manually flushed, as it has with other distros I've used. I use nmh, though I don't think that's a consideration. sendmail is ticked as 'currently running' in the service configuration gui. Any ideas? Thanks.
