Double check the init string you pass to the modem; sometimes by leaving
things "as default" you're not getting what you're supposed to be
getting with the modem. Like back in the BBS days, you're going to want
to "tweak" the init string so that you're getting more bang for your
buck.

Ain't going to answer the rest because I hate Kazaa and don't see
anything good come out of this wonderful avenue for backdoors, trojans,
spyware and adware.
