I've seen this a couple of times, and both times it's been a dependency
issue.  I.e. there's a package dependency that is causing the install to
fail.  With the GUI package manager, it doesn't seem to tell you this.
If you run rpm -ivh <package name> it should tell you the dependency
that's failed.  If that's not it, then I'm at a loss.
