I am trying to install the kermel-source rpm... What would be the difference between the src and source rpms?

Define "more than enough" since I usually tend to believe the computer and not the user in a case like this. Post the output of "df -m" while you're at it. Remember that your disk has to hold the package _and_ the installed files. Also, are you trying to install the kernel src.rpm, or the kernel-source RPM?
