Actually, I attempted to change the format to 12-hour in X, and it displays the time properly in 12 hour format in the Window Manager,
however when I use command line utils, such as uptime and even date, the time is still in 24 hour format.
How can I change this system-wide.. hwclock does not seem to work.
Any suggestions?
