Well, I'm trying to install RH 9.0 on a laptop.
Problem 1: no internal CD - it's a PCMCIA
So, I set up NSF on my main system, and having d/l the three ISOs, I've
mounted and exported them. The laptop has a port replicator, which (happy,
happy, joy, joy) has a NIC in it.
I've booted off the floppy bootdisk, used the net driver disk, get all the
way through partioning, and into the install. Several RPMs in...it dies,
signal 11. It's done this at least 5 times.
Is it possible that I need to change a parameter with NSF, to allow
additional retries on a read? Any other ideas?
