Well actually it might work...I had Ximian RPMs installed which don't seem to work, but a generic install from a mozilla.org build of Mozilla 1.4 works perfectly. So I would assume that 1.2.1 may work...I don't feel like installing it again :) Anyways, probably something weird with the Ximian version...or maybe I'm just a dumbass and missed something easy.
