Well you won't believe it, but it works now. I changed nothing. So
I guess it just needed a reboot or something. Who knows, but it

More important than the software is disc filesystem. Bet at least
some
of the problem CD-RW's are written with a UDF filesystems created
using
packet writing software like DirectCD. Try a static mount using type
udf rather than the default iso9660.
