They say that courier mail system is a sort of replacement for exchange systems. See http://www.courier-mta.org/ hopefully that help.

Looked at other alternatives but none were found as a replacement for MSExchange - lots for if your starting new.

I am a huge RedHat fan and the OpenExchange machine is the only SuSe machine in the house - everything else (4 servers)is RH Advanced Server.
